For decades Airstream trailers have inspired outdoor adventure, helping families live their best outdoor life. From the very beginning we knew one belonged in the new Base Village as a symbol of this way of life…but it took us a little while to figure out just how to make it happen.

This week we are proud to welcome the newest addition to Base Village, a 1959 Air Stream Caravan. This winter it will serve as our skate rental shop, located adjacent to the new ice rink. This Airstream has had a complete make-over from the great folks at Pioneer Vintage Trailers in Ohio. Everything was updated from new axels and brakes to a remodel of the interior to include shelves for over 200 pairs of skates and even a lime green fridge! But we didn’t stop there, an artful outer shell was also designed to reduce the glare and make it cool…because Airstreams have to be cool!

So stop by the Base Village this winter and check out its sweet retro look! Oh! And as further enticement, the ice rink and skate rentals will be FREE to everyone all winter and will be open from noon until 9 p.m. daily. See you at the rink!
