The Limelight’s history spans all the way back to the 1950s when the original structure was nothing more than the humble “Ski and Spur Bar.” Since then, this property has blossomed through numerous transformations from a simple rural bar, to a folk music showcase, and finally into the bright and modern hotel that sits at the base of Ajax Mountain today.
Today, the identity of this destination hotel shines brighter as a crane heaves massive steel bars into the mountain air of Snowmass. Coming in the winter of 2018-19, the Limelight Hotel and Residences will feature the same fun, unfussy luxury that made it so successful in other locations. Amenities will include 99 hotel rooms, 11 ski-in/ski-out residences, lounge and restaurant with lively après ski scene that spills outdoors, 5-story climbing wall open to the public, fitness center and hot tub spas, all with spectacular mountain and plaza views. And of course, the hotel will offer its irresistible pizza that everyone loves!
