What makes our vibrant new Base Village such a special place to call home are the ways it connects us to one another and the extraordinary experiences that define mountain living—from the palpable excitement brought on by a fresh blanket of snow to the sense of community we feel strolling the summer farmer’s market, and so much more.

The Plaza

The plaza is the great connector—of people and place in all seasons. At its center are fire pits for roasting s’mores and its signature ice skating rink that transforms into an events lawn in the summer, hosting outdoor concerts, pop-up children’s fountains and farmer’s markets. All moments for families and friends to delight in being part of this dynamic community.

Lounging at Base Village, Snowmass

The Living Room

The Limelight Lounge is the place to catch live local music after a fun day on the slopes. The seamlessness of its indoor and outdoor gathering spaces allows the energy to spill outward onto the patio from within. Host to Snowmass’ hottest après scene, it’s the place to kick back, eat, hang out, relax and feel right at home.

The buzz of Base Village

In the center of it all is the new ice rink built for hours of fun for the entire family. And check out the cool 1958 Air Stream housing all of our skate rentals. The ice rink is open daily from noon to 9PM, weather permitting. Skating and skate rentals are free, so there’s simply no excuse not to strap on a pair and get out there!

The Limelight at Snowmass Base Village
Climbing wall at Limelight

The climbing wall

The tallest of its kind in Colorado, our massive, five-story climbing wall running directly up the façade of the new Limelight Hotel is a village icon, partly due to its height and near-vertical pitch, but also because its routes were inspired by favorite, local climbs. Open daily from noon to 7PM. $10 per 30-minute session. Passes available.

The Collective at SBV

The Collective

This winter, the Collective Snowmass will open on a limited basis with a diverse winter calendar of partnerships, programming and pop-ups featuring local business and various nonprofits. Catch a yoga class with Aspen yogis Aaron King, David Richard and Alexa Guglielmi, or drop by for live music, art events and the popular Smashbox Kids Camps, running on various dates throughout the ski season.

Look for this exciting addition to our vibrant new Base Village community open fully next winter with a new bar and restaurant, The Discover Center with information on the Snowmass Mastodon fossils, and a kids game room in addition to shared flex space that will continue to hold pop-up events and activities.
